THE CHALLENGE

Access to this property was very tricky, and the entrance to the site was too narrow for our volumetric concrete wagon to fit through. Because of this, the only option was to pump the concrete in, which we opted for a line pump.

The other factor we had to tackle was daylight, as these winter months mean much shorter days. As this is a also a Rhino Piling site, we had plenty of notice for when we could arrive on site and the two branches worked seamlessly together.

WHAT WE DID

Concrete

We arrived on site early to ensure we could start pumping as soon as possible. Once the pump arrived we wasted no time laying the line pump sections down the route to the site, ready to go.

Once we began pumping concrete, a team was dedicated to raking, and another team for tamping all while the concrete was manoeuvred around the footing by the pump team.

THE OUTCOME

The combination of three teams working together on this site meant that the job was completed with ease, and thankfully before dark.

The customer was pleased with the quick turnaround of this job, as it meant they could arrange the brickwork, being one very big step closer to the end result.
